This draft explains, in plain language, what an inquiry and the chat assistant involve. It is not a finished policy.

DRAFT template — to be reviewed by a lawyer. This is not legal advice and it is not in force.

Who this draft is about

Sunday Atlas Travel operates this website as an inquiry desk for curated tours. A postal address is not published on this draft of the site.

For privacy questions: contact email coming soon. Until that mailbox exists, use the inquiry form.

What you give us in the form

The inquiry form asks for your name, email address, nationality or passport, destination interest, approximate dates, group size, a message, and your agreement that Sunday Atlas Travel may use those details to prepare your quote and contact you.

If you arrive from a package page, the form also keeps the package name so we know what you were reading.

Why we ask

We use the inquiry to reply within 24 hours, to ask sensible questions, and — if you want a quote — to share the relevant details with the hotels, transport and guide services that deliver your trip.

The inquiry form does not make automated bookings, and we do not sell a mailing list.

Chat assistant

Our website has an automated chat assistant. It is not a live person. It answers questions using only the information published on this website, such as destination pages, tour pages, the FAQ and how-it-works.

When you send a message, the text of your message, the page language and up to your last six chat turns from the current session are sent to our chat service, which runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages Functions and Cloudflare Workers AI). Cloudflare processes the message to generate the answer, as our service provider. We do not put your name, email or other contact details into the chat request unless you type them into a message yourself — please don't; use the inquiry form instead.

We do not store chat transcripts on our servers. Your conversation is kept only in your own browser's session storage, so the chat stays open while you move between pages; it is deleted when you close the browser tab or window. Cloudflare may keep limited technical logs under its own terms.

To prevent abuse, we count how many messages are sent from each IP address. For this we store, in Cloudflare Workers KV, a counter keyed by your IP address: one counter for a 10-minute window (deleted automatically after about 11 minutes) and one daily counter (deleted automatically after 2 days). We also keep one site-wide daily total that contains no personal data (deleted after 2 days). We do not store the content of your messages in these counters.

Answers from the chat assistant can be wrong and are not a quote or a booking. To reach our team, use the inquiry form; our team replies by email.

WhatsApp

A WhatsApp button appears only if a number has been configured for the site. If you do not see one, we are not offering WhatsApp yet. If you do, choosing it opens a chat in WhatsApp, which processes the message under WhatsApp’s own terms.

How long we keep a message

This draft does not invent a retention schedule. The intention is to keep inquiry records only as long as needed to handle the conversation and any trip that follows, then delete or archive them under a rule a lawyer will set. We do not store chat transcripts on our servers.

Do not send passport scans or sensitive personal documents through the form or the chat.

Who else sees it

If you ask us to request a quote, we share the details needed to price the trip with the hotels, transport and guide services that deliver your trip. We do not publish your message on the website.

The site is a static host. The chat assistant runs on Cloudflare, as described above. The inquiry database, once connected, will be a separate service; its name and region will be listed here once counsel has reviewed the contracts.

Cookies

The pages themselves are static. The chat assistant does not set cookies. It uses your browser's session storage to keep the current conversation, which is cleared when you close the tab. If a WhatsApp link is shown, it is only a link; it does not set a cookie by itself.

A proper cookie description will be added when a lawyer reviews this draft.

Your choices

You can choose not to send the form, and you can ignore the chat assistant. You may ask us what we hold about you once a contact email exists.

Until then: contact email coming soon.
